DIGITAL EXHIBITION STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
THE BRIEF
In 2018, AGB Events engaged Mayvin Global and Danbella Consulting to develop financial and in-kind partnerships to support AGB’s state-of-the-art digital exhibition called Beauty Rich and Rare. This exhibition tells the story of Sir Joseph Banks and the Cook Voyage to Australia.
Its first showing was in the National Library, Canberra in September 2019 and then at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in Washington DC from January 2020.
THE OUTCOME
Given the short time frames of the project, Mayvin Global adopted a rapid-sprint approach.
Mayvin Global opened many doors and facilitated numerous introductions for AGB Events.
A consequence of the in-person contact with organisations was that it generated material awareness, opportunities to speak at conferences and an additional opportunity to showcase the exhibition to the Australian cultural sector.
This had three additional benefits;
-
Word of mouth from core audience segments
-
Re-opened interest from organisations, which facilitated re-engagement with target organisations.
The success of this, saw Mayvin Global invited back to consult with AGB Events a second time.
Mayvin Global’s Managing Director attended the launch of the exhibition to the US Market at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in Washington DC, hosted by the Hon Joe Hockey, former Ambassador of Australia to the USA.
“Deanna Varga of Mayvin Global was engaged by AGB Events to work with us on strategy development with the aim of attracting new business.
Deanna went well above the agreed brief, she is incredibly attuned to the international arts and tourism industry and has an excellent and open manner with her clients. Deanna is an authentic leader in her field and highly recommended.”
