TOURISM MARKET SOUNDING

THE BRIEF

Hill End is located in Regional NSW, about 4 hours drive from Sydney.

 

Mayvin Global’s brief was to conduct market sounding with key stakeholders (from government to local residents and tourism operators within Hill End, Bathurst and Mudgee), with a focus on understanding and determining what would attract high yield visitors to visit, spend money and stay longer in Hill End or the surrounding regions of Bathurst, Mudgee and Orange.

​The Market Sounding Findings were mapped against six factors considered to make a world class heritage attraction:​

  • Unifying Experience​

  • Constant Site and Business Evolution​

  • Immersion and Emotional Engagement​

  • Seasonality and Tailored Programming​

  • Measuring and Capitalising on Value​

THE OUTCOME

Mayvin Global developed 14 key recommendations that were divided into two priority groups.  They were also asked to facilitate a number of NPWS staff workshops with the view of incorporating the findings of the project into future strategic business plans.
